Within the “Improvement of Investment Environment in Serbia” project, online workshops were held with representatives of pilot units of local self-government. The aim of the workshops is to raise the capacity of local self-government units for the future implementation of project activities, as well as the sustainability of project objectives.

The main topics of the workshop were: basics of QGIS, georeferencing and vectorization. During the workshops, participants were introduced to the software solution QGIS for processing geospatial data. In addition to the theoretical basis, the training included the installation of QGIS software, introduction to the work environment, basics on data types and a practical example of georeferencing a spatial plan with vectorization of content.

The online workshop was held for two days, on August 17 and 18, 2020. The lecturers were Stefan Milošević and Nemanja Paunić, and the pilot units of the local self-government appointed at least one representative who participated in these workshops.

During the workshop, participants actively discussed and sought additional advice on the topic of the workshop in order to improve existing knowledge.
